The typical price on Biklo is £1,024. City models with a hub motor are the most affordable, while full-suspension e-MTBs with a mid-drive motor and a large battery are the most expensive. The battery's condition can change the fair price a lot.

Mid-drive or hub motor?

A mid-drive motor uses the bike's gears, is more efficient on climbs and feels natural. A hub motor is cheaper and simpler, suited to the city and flat terrain.

How long does an e-bike battery last?

A lithium-ion battery gradually loses capacity with charge cycles and age. Ask the seller for the number of cycles or a diagnostic test, and ask how it was stored over winter.

Can I convert my bike to electric?

Yes, with a conversion kit: motor, battery and controller. You'll find motors, batteries and displays in the e-bike parts subcategories; check compatibility with your frame and brakes.

How does protected payment work?

You pay online through Biklo, and the money only reaches the seller once the order is confirmed. That way you can buy e-bikes from private sellers without sending money upfront to a stranger.

How do I receive my item?

By courier, with a shipping label generated automatically by Biklo; parcels that fit can also go to a parcel locker. If the seller is nearby, you can see the item and buy it in person.

How do I check a used item before buying it?

Message the seller in the chat: ask for close-up photos, ask about age, wear and servicing, and check their rating. Some sellers also accept price offers.

How do I sell e-bikes on Biklo?

As a private seller you post an ad for free : add clear photos, an honest description and your price. Shops can create a business account for their whole range.
