Report a stolen bike for free or check one before you buy it.

The stolen bike register

If your bike has been stolen, report it here for free, with photos, brand, model, colour, frame number and the place it went missing. Your report is seen by the Biklo community, who can help you recognise it if it shows up for sale. Report it to the police too: the frame number and proof of purchase help with identification.

Buying a used bike? Compare it with the bikes in the register (model, colour, distinguishing marks, serial number if listed) and ask the seller for proof of purchase. A price far below market value, a scratched-off serial number or a seller in a hurry are warning signs.

Questions about stolen bikes

How do I report a stolen bike?
Add it to the register for free, with photos, brand, model, frame number, and the date and place of the theft. The more details you give, the easier it is to recognise.
Where do I find the frame number?
It's usually engraved under the bottom bracket, sometimes on the head tube or the seat tube. Photograph it now, while the bike is still with you, and keep the receipt.
What do I do if I find my bike for sale?
Don't try to get it back on your own: tell the police and show proof that it's yours (frame number, receipt, photos). You can also write to the Biklo team from the contact page.
