A frame is the starting point for a project: you build your bike with your own parts, or move the components over from a cracked or too-small frame. You'll find hardtail and full-suspension MTB frames, road, gravel, dirt and BMX frames, in aluminium, steel, titanium or carbon.
With a used frame, ask for close-up photos of the welds, the head tube and bottom bracket area and the rear dropouts; with carbon, any crack is a reason to walk away.
